AgLogic aldicarb 15GG is applied to the soil of orange and grapefruit trees so the roots absorb and translocate it to all parts of the plant — providing up to six weeks or more of continuous pest control. With insects, mites and nematodes kept at bay, aldicarb also helps to increase root growth, which promotes greater tree health and can lead to larger and more abundant fruit. Trees treated with aldicarb may also be visibly taller, greener and denser.

*A Bayer study found aldicarb provided an average increase of 315 lbs. of solids/acre. Assuming AgLogic has the same yield increases and the 2019-2020 solids’ price, a grower could receive a $417/acre profit increase. This also assumes a cost of $6.00/lb. for AgLogic at the 33 lb. rate and an application cost of $15/acre.
In another set of orange studies, aldicarb provided an average yield increase of 67 boxes/acre. Assuming AgLogic has the same yield increases and the 2019-2020 boxes’ price, a grower could receive a $350/acre profit increase. This also assumes a cost of $6.00/lb. for AgLogic at the 33 lb. rate and an application cost of $15/acre.
In a University of Florida IFAS Extension study, the cultural cost of production per acre of foliar sprays averaged around $658.93 for processed oranges in southwest Florida from 2016-2017. The use of AgLogic can eliminate the need for up to two of these early-season sprays. The cost reduction from eliminating two sprays would be approximately $100.
** According to the University of Florida IFAS Extension the cultural cost of production per acre of foliar sprays averages around $1242.05 for fresh market grapefruit, Indian River 2016-2017. The use of AgLogic can eliminate the need for up to two of these sprays.
